Selvedge is currently looking for energetic beer lovers to join our team at our new location in the Bellair neighborhood in Charlottesville!

  • The goal of the Selvedge Server  is to create a positive guest experience while taking orders, running food, clearing dishes, table maintenance and assisting guests with their requests. 

    Servers are Expected to : 

    • Welcome all guests warmly and collect their orders

    • Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu (both food & drink)

    • Deliver ordered food to guests within a timely manner. Must be able to carry a beverage tray of glassware. 

    • Ensure guest satisfaction (2 minute | 2 bite check)

    • Close guest’s check out at the end of their dining experience. 

    • Maintain side work before/throughout/after each shift. 

    • Ability to work on your feet for 8-10 hrs

    • 21 years of age or older 

    • Assist your teammates and work together to support each other.

  • Pay Range 

    Our goal at Selvedge Brewing is to create a business that allows for both personal and financial growth. We offer a professional development program that encourages employees to advance their skills and their pay through cross training and testing.

    All Front of House hourly employees will start at $4/hr + supplemental tip pool distributions.

    Entry level servers and bartenders can expect to earn $18-$22+ per hour after tips.

  • Schedule 

    Selvedge Operating Hours 

    Sunday - 12pm-9pm

    Monday -Thursday - 3pm-9pm 

    Friday & Saturday 12pm-10pm 

    Staff shifts can start as early as 1 hour before opening and end 30-45 minutes after close. 

    Minimum Shift Requirement 

    All front of house hourly employees are required to work  a minimum of 6 shifts per month and 1 shift per week.
